Soak it Up can be an indoor game if you use a “kiddy pool” to catch the water. Pick your “victim” which could be the bride or groom and have them sit under the bucket of water. Their opponent throws a bean bag at the target! If they hit the target, I am sure you can figure out what happens from there. Soak it Up is a MUCH cheaper alternative to renting a dunk tank which would cost you around $350 – $550 to rent for the day. Our version is a fraction of that price! This is a VERY entertaining game and great for all ages because the only thing that is required, is to throw a bean bag and aim for a target. No tricks, no real skills, just aim for the target!
Most people use this in the summer season outside because of the mess. But we have had lots of people use this indoors in a hall too! They just bring in a kiddie pool to gather the water. Whatever works for you! Soak it Up is typically used for kids parties, church events, birthday parties, family picnics, school events, Fundraisers, and Stag & Doe’s. So basically all events! Put the guest of honour seated on a chair, and watch the fun and suspense commence!

We have some recommendations that will help you understand how this game is played. If this is an outdoor event and you have access to a water hose, you can actually hook up the hose right to the game so you don’t have to fill it up manually each time. If you don’t have a hose, you can just fill up another container with water and dump it in when you are ready. Turn off the hose once the bucket is full / put the extra container away, and your victim of honour, will sit on any old chair and place it directly under the bucket. Line up your people a few feet away depending on their age, and hand them a waterproof bean bag. Smaller children will need a target closer to them obviously. Play around with it till you find a comfortable distance and mark the line with a stick or tape. They get 1-3 attempts at hitting the target with their bean bag. Should they succeed, a suction cup comes out of the bucket, and the water comes out the bottom of the bucket directly onto the victim’s head! Such a sight to see.
How to PROFIT with This Game
We have some excellent tips on how to profit with this game, if you are using it at a Fundraiser. We suggest to charge $3 per bean bag, or 5 bean bags for $10. If they have bought 10, you might want to ensure that the line where they stand is far enough away and not overly easy to hit the target. If they have only bought 1, or if they are young, then you might want to allow them to stand closer to the target.
Only 1 bean bag comes with this game, so you would have to retrieve the bean bag and bring it back to them each time. Which is fine, but we thought we would point that out.
The target is not huge and typically people do not hit the target on their first attempt, so they will most likely pay again. You will definitely have a lineup of people waiting for their turn, so you can make quite a bit of money off of this game if you set it up correctly. Especially if your supposed victim is a popular guy/girl, the guest of honour at a Fundraiser, a boss, a groom, a teacher, etc. The person throwing does not win a prize, but they do get the enjoyment of seeing their opponent soaked! So that is the great thing about this game, is you don’t have to invest in a prize and the profits can be all kept for you!
What Kind of Vehicle do I need?
We have highlighted what NOT to bring in Red as we doubt it will fit, and we highlighted our recommended vehicle(s) in Green. Of course this is only a guideline but we are just giving you our honest opinion based on what we have seen over the years. We do this day in and day out, so have a really good idea at what will work:
Compact Car
Large Car
Small SUV
Large SUV
Pick up Truck
Minivan
How to Prepare for Pick up
We have highlighted in Green what you may want to bring with you so that you are well prepared. If bringing a truck, keep in mind that you might need to have the back bed totally empty as this takes up a lot of room. If bringing a van, keep in mind that you might need to have all seats folded down, stowed in the floor, or removed altogether. If bringing a SUV, do not bring any passengers and have your seats folded down with no cargo.
Bungee Cords
Tie-downs
1 Blanket
2 Blankets
We have it set up for you once you arrive so that you see what the finished product should look like, and we will quickly explain how it all works. Then you just pull the parts apart and load them into your car. They are all labeled with letters so you just match up the letters when you are ready to assemble!
How Heavy is this to Transport
A common question is to ask how heavy a product is, so that people know how many others they may need to bring to help lift this into their vehicle. With this product, one person is all you need! It is very light weight so you should be fine.

Very clever to use the bride and groom – I heard at one point you were charging $100 a throw!! What a great way to make money for your Stag & Doe.
