Give your guests a wedge to chip the velcro ball up towards the felt. There they will find a sand trap, water hazard, fair way, and of course… the hole! Each of these areas carries a different point value, so after each guest takes 3 swings with their wedge, count up their points. At the end of the night, see who got the most points! You are obviously aiming to chip the golf ball towards the hole or at least get on the green with this Fore game. However more times than not, people will either chip their ball into the sand trap, water hazard, fairway, or worse… miss altogether! One word of caution – chipping is not as easy as people think! Anybody can putt a ball, but to use a wedge and chip it is another. People will keep coming back to try this game out over and over, and if you are using this at a Fundraiser, that is good news for you! Great money maker and entertainer.
Here is a quick peak of the Fore game in action! It is a brief clip but you get the idea right away as to how it is played.

We have some recommendations that will help you understand how this game is played. Your guest will receive 3 velcro balls and they can choose between a left or right wedge. They will place their practice golf ball on the 12″ x 24″ chipping mat, and chip the ball towards the board. They are aiming for the hole obviously, but will more likely instead get the sand trap, water hazard, green, fairway, or worse yet… miss altogether!
When the velcro ball hits the board, it will stick to it, so you can definitely see how close they were, and what point value they attained. Each of those areas carried a point value, which is how you can tally up their points.
After your guests take three turns, they can win various points based on their result. They may get one ball in the sand trap which you may have labeled 5 points, one in the water hazard which you may have labeled 3 points, and then missed the last one. See the next tab on suggestions of how to label these areas correctly with point values.
How to PROFIT with This Game
We have some excellent tips on how to profit with this game, if you are using it at a Fundraiser. We recommend that you charge $5 for 3 balls, and label the point values as follows:
Hole: 50
Green: 20
Fairway: 10
Sand Trap: 5
Water Hazard: 5
Renting our sign will cut the time it takes to prepare your sign by quite a bit! It is only $5 so why not? A great prize to go along with this game, is a free Golf Cart Rental and Green Fees to a local golf course, some free golf balls, or something Golf related.
What Kind of Vehicle do I need?
We have highlighted what NOT to bring in Red as we doubt it will fit, and we highlighted our recommended vehicle(s) in Green. Of course this is only a guideline but we are just giving you our honest opinion based on what we have seen over the years. We do this day in and day out, so have a really good idea at what will work:
Compact Car
Large Car
Small SUV
Large SUV
Pick up Truck
Minivan
If you are bringing a truck, it will most likely sit on top of your tailgate due to it being 81″ long. Most beds are not that long – so just plan for that, and you are golden!
How to Prepare for Pick up
We have highlighted in Green what you may want to bring with you so that you are well prepared. If bringing a truck, keep in mind that you might need to have the back bed totally empty as this takes up a lot of room. If bringing a van, keep in mind that you might need to have all seats folded down, stowed in the floor, or removed altogether.
Bungee Cords
Tie-downs
1 Blanket
2 Blankets
How Heavy is this to Transport
A common question is to ask how heavy a product is, so that people know how many others they may need to bring to help lift this into their vehicle. With this product, one person could probably handle it on their own, but we would recommend a 2nd person to help them lift it into a vehicle, since we do not assist due to liability reasons. Due to its large size, you can easily damage it if doing it solo, which just means a cost to you. So don’t be a man and show us how strong you are – take care of the game and do it right with that 2nd person. 🙂
